wayne & kristen: married.

Last year sometime I got the news that "we may have another wedding coming up!" I had called to talk to my friend Chad (also my assistant)and his mom Judy answered the phone. They were shopping if I remember correct and Judy had to tell me all about Kristen's boyfriend and how she just knew this was the one. A couple months later, we were talking and laughing in their kitchen as I got to meet Wayne and see how happy he was making Kristen. They were engaged and the Lasley's had another wedding to plan! About 2 years ago I had the lovely opportunity to photograph Kristen and Chad's sister Liz's wedding before the blog was around, but we're going to be doing a little photo session soon, so Liz, you'll get to have a go on the blog too! I really love this family and their planning habits and timelines! Judy, I must say you plan truly spectacular events and this one was nothing short of perfect.

If I told you the day began with cloudy skies and raindrops I'm not sure you would believe me. Somewhere between the time we were photographing the hair and makeup process, the skies opened up bringing warm breezes and blue skies! This entire day was filled with surprises! As we were photographing after the ceremony we had to compete against a marathon of runners that went racing by. Perhaps the major hightlight of the picture taking was when someone, ahem, Anthony,(Liz's husband) found a new friend and insisted he partake in some of the wedding day photography ritual. Moments later, the entire bridal party worked it out under a bridge overpass...Shoney bear and all! He was surprisingly cooperative and I think he even cracked a smile or two! Best of all, the littlest of the flower girls LOVED him! Hey, you gotta have something to remember your wedding day by right? It may as well be a costume bear representing a breakfast establishment! Ah memories!

Wayne and Kristen, what can I say?! My camera loves you two and I must agree! Your wedding was perfect in every way and I thank you both for bringing me to Knoxville, Tennessee with you! It was another Lasley wedding filled with barrels of laughs a couple of tears, some fabulous dancing and good cake! I hope you fall more in love every time you pass a Shoney's restaraunt! I wish you the best and hope you love your photos as much I loved taking them!

***I couldn't have done this wedding without my amazing second shooters...Chad & Cyli! You both amaze me! Thanks again!
