matt & melissa: married.

My dad always told me that it only takes 5 minutes to get to know someone. And though I had never met Melissa or Matt before their wedding, the second I arrived in Clarksville, Tennessee, I knew that what my dad says is true. And sometimes, I think that just one or two minutes, a big hug and a good southern hello is all you need to know you've made a new friend for life.

Melissa, I can't begin to tell you how adorable you are! Matt is one lucky man! Being able to spend your wedding day with you and Matt, your closest friends and family was truly an honor. I love that you had all of your little details of the day perfectly in order, and I just fell in love with your charming venue! Your friends kept me on my toes, kept me in stitches and I think my smile was permanently attached to my face the entire day! It's so true what they say about southern hospitality. I didn't even have to go that far to find that. Your families were both so kind and warm, and even I felt like I had just come on down to join the wedding.

I know Melissa, you've been waiting to see these photos for a minute now (thanks for being so patient with me!) so I'm going to cut to the chase now and get on with the photos! Thanks again for trusting me with your 5 minutes and getting to know me enough to be your wedding photographer! It truly was a fantastic time in Clarksville. Oh, and I totally know that if I'm ever in the area again, I've got a spot on your couch if I happen to need to stay over! Cause girl you know we're best friends and all now right?! Take care! Enjoy your photos!

chris. amy. bella. will: family.

Sometimes I'm lucky enough to photograph beautiful families. Sometimes I'm even luckier to meet their teeny tiny friends that travel along in their little tupperware containers, with a leaf and a twig. We could just photograph the beautiful family, but we had to be sure and get a shot or two of "Buggy-Bug"...(Amy that was his name right?!) Best part of the entire session--poor little Bella dropped Buggy-Bug while showing him to me, but thanks to her amazing mom to the rescue, Buggy-Bug was found in an instant, among all the blades of grass on the ground, and back home safe and sound in his little tupperware house. THESE are the things worth photographing the most right! So I'm kicking things off with a little shot of Buggy-Bug, cause Bella of course will love me for it, of course! Chris, Amy, thanks for hanging out with me at the orchard! I love your kiddos, and I'm partial to Buggy-Bug too! Enjoy your photos!
