kyle. tristan. boardwalk: family.

I can't say enough about Kyle and Tristan! I just adore the two of them to pieces and now we get to introduce their lovely little Boardwalk into the equation! Well, she's not really little, but she's such a doll baby and I probably could have spent the better part of our time just petting her! Boardwalk is a rescue greyhound, and honestly couldn't have found herself a better mom and dad than Kyle and Tristan. I truly believe that animals make the world go around and it takes a special person to take in a rescue animal. Kyle and Tristan, you two are amazing and I'm sure it hasn't always been the easiest with Boardwalk, but know you two are better people for taking her in and providing a safe place for her! I just love her and I know you do too. I can't wait to see you again and I'm excited for this wedding too! I personally think Boardwalk should make an appearance, you know, at least put on a big white bow and trot down the isle or something! Enjoy your photos!

don't forget about dad.

I received an email yesterday that literally about made my entire year! I'm not naming any names, but you know who you are, and you're such a blessing to my life. Because of her, and her dear note, she has forced me to offer up one day of mini sessions to celebrate dad's everywhere! I wasn't planning any specials until the fall of this year so I could make it through wedding season without feeling overwhelmed! But, sometimes, you just have to admit your friends are right, and you have to offer up a special in the middle of the summer!

Specifics:

***ONE DAY ONLY mini's will take place Saturday, June 11th only.

***Sessions will be only 15 minutes in length, and will take place at Mooresville/Camby area locations only.

***Best 15 (possibly more!) images on CD mailed on Monday in time to print for Father's Day Sunday the 19th.

bob. judy. & their family.

I could probably just go on and on and on about this entire family. Probably, secretly even, I wish my last name began with "L", or that I could just be the long lost sister who comes around when there's a really good party! And there are always really great parties, I mean really. With this family, I've been to all of the really big parties. I've been the lucky duck who has been around to photograph these guys at three weddings. And I've even more lucky that I've been able to follow two of these couples as they grow into families. So for today, and frankly from now on, I'm going to be the one at all the parties, wearing the honorary "L" on my shirt, in true Lavern and Shirley fashion. Perhaps it's for their last name. Perhaps it's just because I dearly love them to pieces. ALL of them! Even the cat...ok, especially the cat!

Thank you all for putting up with each other, and me too, for an afternoon of photos. Judy and Bob, thanks for including me with your families dearest moments. I hope these photos grace your walls for years to come. I especially love these! And I think Judy, you need to put an "L" on your shirt too!

justin. melissa. landyn: family.

There are times as a photographer, you meet a family and they are blessed with such fantastic little kids that I could just scoop them up, squeeze them into my camera bag, and take them home with me! Justin and Melissa and their little Landyn, are no exception to my theory! Landyn is a true ball of energy! He's such a happy little guy and his smile is infectious. I hated that we had rain the morning of their session, but I loved that Landyn never even probably noticed! That made me not even care too! Our time was quick, but so worth these fun photos! I love the ones with the bubbles Melissa, and I love the ones with you and Justin each with Landyn. Your little guy is beyond amazing, but you already knew that now didn't you! Thanks for letting me see how awesome your Landyn is, and thanks for trusting me with your family photos. I'm attached now, and I can't wait to see you all again soon! steve & tracy: engaged.

I drove down to Louisville, Kentucky to meet with Tracy and Steve for their engagement photos. Of course, when we got there, we were met with a tremendous downpour than went on for a good hour! Now, I've known Tracy for years and years! She's practically related as she's so close to my sister and brother in laws family, and we've gone to church together for years too. But with over an hour to kill while we stood under a shelter while it rained, I got to know Steve a little bit too! We laughed, and laughed, and laughed! Steve is so very funny, and now I even feel like I've known him for years too!

And even though we had to deal with a little bit of rain and ended up not having much time to do the photos, I still ended up with so many shots that I just love! I think we ended up actually shooting for a half hour, and we ended up with so many fun shots all taken pretty quick, and in a small little area.

Tracy and Steve! I can't really even begin to tell you Tracy how incredibly excited I am that you've found the person you're going to grow old with. You know it just makes me scream! HA! Steve makes you laugh and your face lights up! It's contagious I'm telling you! You compliment each other adorably, and I know you'll make each other so happy! Thank you for taking that day off Steve to do these photos with us! Tracy couldn't look more beautiful, and in love too of course! See?  It was worth it!  I am so excited to photograph the wedding coming up this summer! Enjoy your photos...these are just a small handful of the ones I loved most!
