What an amazingly fun day we had with Shawn and Jennifer on yet another cold wintery day in February! They were married at the Collumns in Greenwood, with a sweet, short and simple ceremony that was officiated by one of my dearest friends, Deanna. Shawn has 3 brothers that kept the party rolling with their crazy antics and the video taping. Never in my years of photographing weddings, have I seen a groomsman walk a bridesmaid down the isle, and hold a video camera! It was totally histerical! I know they were both laughing, and it was really funny that I heard one of the guests lean over and say to the person sitting next to them, "Was he video taping that?", and then the other guest responded, "Yeah, and I think he zoomed in on you!" Truly it was all I could do to keep a straight face!

This was just one example of the fun that was about to begin as they were married and the reception began. And even though it was a little frigid outside, everyone braved the cold and we were able to grab a few photos outside that turned out really cute!

One of the things that I loved the most about this whole day, was the fact that Jennifer and Shawn were NEVER seen without the biggest smiles on their faces! They laughed, a ton, they smiled a ton, and I got the most expressive photos out of them! I LIVE for the expressions as you all know, so this was a blast for me to photograph! I may have left a few of those really funny faces to the private eyes of only Jen and Shawn, but I'm sure they'll let a few friends and family in on them! They are really adorable and Jen absolutely cracks me up! I love the expressions! So, thanks Shawn and Jennifer for sharing your wedding day with me, and Cyli! Continue to make each other roll with laughter every single day! We both really had a good time. You and your friends and family really made us feel welcome and they kept us in near stictches all day! I can't wait to hear from you Jen...enjoy the photos and I wish you both the BEST!

brad & kelly: engaged

Kelly called me a few weeks back to schedule a day for her and Brad's engagement photos. She really wanted to have snow in the photos, and so we made a plan for that weekend. It was supposed to snow, and of course when that Sunday afternoon came, there was none of the white stuff to be seen! So we went ahead and photographed here and there downtown, and we ducked into every possible warm building to defrost every chance we could get! It was freezing with a little wind, but no snow. About a week later, we get hit with that really big snow, and because I couldn't resist a snowy white photoshoot, I called them up and we barreled through the snow for a few more photos! I was really excited and I basically told them they didn't stand a chance to say no to more photos!

These two are so incredibly cute, and gorgeous and so in love! Kelly and Brad make it incredibly easy to do my photographing, even when they thought they didn't know what to do! I always tell my engaged couples, "Just be yourself," and the pictures will make themselves! This is exactly what they did, and I love our outcome! We had such a fun time and I can't wait for the wedding day! You both are lucky to have each other! Thank you for braving the cold, the wind, even the mounds of snow with me and Cyli! Enjoy your photos!
